The original plan when the hidden yard was rebuilt was to control the
turnouts using DCC rabbits.  The DCC rabbits would always be on when
running DCC or DC.  Independent routes for each yard track would be created
for incoming and outgoing paths (18 routes for 9 tracks).  All a person
would have to do is select a route for a particular track either for
inbound or outbound.  All the necessary turnouts would be thrown and the
track supplied power.  This would allow a train to come in one one track
and one to leave from a different track at the same time.  The existing 110
volt yard controller would be removed.  It was turned down because it was
never done that way before
