Hi Tony, 
The multiple train arrivals you are thinking of are our single leads from each side concurrently?
A DCC arrival manager in conjunction with an occupation detector system might fit the bill. 
Such system might still work with DC.

-allow arriving and departing trains on different tracks at the same time

-allow multiple track setup for DCC consisting

  
 
The diode matrix box has been very reliable and simple to use.
