End cars have 70T (33” wheels) on the ends all others are 100T (36” wheels).

Tony,

I have a number of different truck frames that I measure 5' 10" on the wheel base. I think that is pretty standard. The big question would be what weight, ie, 50 ton, 75 ton, 100 ton, etc were they using for the cars..

Notice the intermediate trucks have 5’ 10” wheelbase – who makes a correct 5’ 10” truck in HO?

Okay, I finally found the wheelbase dimensions I was looking for regarding this cars in a very unlikely document. It’s appears to answer my questions so will continue sketching this out.

There is a lot of information on the history and development of double stacks. It’s worth reading section IV. DOUBLE-STACKS: PIONEER EFFORTS TO DEVELOPED NETWORK.

Cheers!
