Here is a followup on my earlier email.  


As we learned last year, when the temperature goes up, the Fair attendance goes down.  The thermometer hit triple digits on Saturday and the attendance suffered.  For the past Fri-Sun period the attendance was only 5854 vs. a normal attendance of 7,000-10,000 for a similar period.  Our total attendance for the eight days so far is 16,505.  This is about 3,000 more than last year, but about 3,000 less than in 2016.  Crystal-balling it for the rest of the Fair is hazardous due to the variables that affect attendance.   


On a brighter note, the donations per visitor are running about twenty percent better than historical values.
