<div>As we learned last year, when the temperature goes up, the Fair attendance goes down. The thermometer hit triple digits on Saturday and the attendance suffered. For the past Fri-Sun period the attendance was only 5854 vs. a normal attendance of 7,000-10,000 for a similar period. Our total attendance for the eight days so far is 16,505. This is about 3,000 more than last year, but about 3,000 less than in 2016. Crystal-balling it for the rest of the Fair is hazardous due to the variables that affect attendance. </div>

<div>On a brighter note, the donations per visitor are running about twenty percent better than historical values.</div>
