Just a note about the Good-Guys and a couple other things.  I was down
there the Thursday evening before the show started.  They had a lot of
stuff in the storage area so I understood why they wanted it blocked
off.  I had e-mail communication with Harry Daviess at GGs Wednesday and
Thursday that week trying to work it out.  They are OK with us being
open but want no traffic thru the storage area and want it to be blocked
off.  Fire code says we must have two exits.  I told him we could direct
the back door traffic to the south by removing the fence and having the
fair set up chain link fence across the north end of our little break
area outside the door.  He would be fine with that.  However, when I
proposed this to Candice she was not happy that I had contacted Harry
directly.  She settled down later in the day and suggested we set down
with her and map out the events to the end of the year.  That is
something Phil suggested separately, so it's a good opportunity.  I also
sent Harry an e-mail saying there wasn't time to make the changes for
last weekend but want to do it in November and we would coordinate it
thru Candice.  I copied Candice on the e-mail and he replied favorably
and said "stay in touch".  Candice was copied again.  Phil and I have
been working together on this situation and want to set up a meeting
with the CEO after Phil talked to him at a fair board meeting.  Be sure,
we are not just setting around waiting for stuff to happen.  BTW, the
fair people usually come thru our building at some point during the
fair.  I was somewhat irritated that I was there and no one told me he
was there.  It was a missed opportunity.  Why weren't there enough O
scale trains running?  Same thing happened with the fire marshal visit.
Nobody told me he was there.  He must be giving his reports to the
maintenance department.  Candice knew nothing of it and the maintenance
folks never seem to have a problem with us. We now know what the
problems are and they are easy fixes.  So let's get those fixed.

BTW, the easiest way to nail us is to charge rent and electrical.
