I had a conversation with Rich Sims at the Fair today about getting us into the upcoming Fair.  Unfortunately, we’re still stuck with needing parking tickets and entry tickets.  That being said, Dick Stark and Jorg Linke must have a list of how many entry and parking tickets will be needed on each day.  That is for each day, I will need the number of parking and entry tickets for each day, not a total for the whole fair.  Obviously, the total of the daily tickets will add up to the Fair total, but the daily count is what’s needed.  Rich told me they are selling tickets to the public for use on specific days.  They have to be used on the day for which they were sold.  It has to do with concern over regulations changing and having limits on how many people can be there on a given day.

Bottom line: I need entry and parking ticket requirements for each of the individual 10 days of the Fair from Jorg and Dick no later than this coming Thursday, the 14th.  That gives us a week to distribute them.  I hope to have the tickets this Friday to give to the two trainmasters, however, I won’t be able to hang around Friday due to out of town family visiting.  If you have any questions, please advise.

 Hello O Scale Members, HELP IS NEEDED FOR THE FAIR THIS YEAR

1.  Reminder tomorrow 10-12-21 is a work party at the club starting at about 2:00 PM

2A.  I need to know if you will be working the Fair and when?  ( so far I know that Wayne B., Jeff D., Phil E., Gerald N., Larry B., Robert L., and Dick S. Will be participating .

2B.  Gary has been talking to the Fair office and he needs to know how many passes and parking permits are needed.

2C.  I will be calling those of you that we haven”t seen for a while about your Fair attendance Plans

2D.  Make your plans and give me a call and I will add you to the Fair Schedule. ( SEE THE SCHEDULE I SENT OUT IN AN EARLIER E MAIL )

3A.  Last Friday Phil and Jeff completed the repairs to the cross over at the draw bridge

3B.  All of the cars on the layout have had their wheels and couplers check and any cars needing Repairs were removed from the layout by Wayne, Gerald, and Dick

3C.  The empty freight yard was cleaned and vacuumed by Gerald and Wayne

4. We are almost ready for the Fair, except for your sign up on the Fair Schedule 

5.  A Big Thank You to the members that have helped get ready for the Fair

10-5-21 Work Party Update 

Yesterday at our Tuesday Work Party we accomplished almost everything that needed to be completed before the Fair except for final test runs.

1.  Phil E., and Jeff D.  Replaced the turnout motor at the crossover that wasn’t throwing correctly.

2.  Jeff D. Also worked on the turnouts behind the mountain and the north end of the passenger yard, and will complete before the Fair.

3.  Wayne B., Gerald N., and Dick S. Worked on finishing checking out couplers, and trucks on all of the cars on the Layout . over 100 cars ). 

4.  Gerald N. Repaired a number of cars with problems on thenRIP Track.

     The only thing needed to finish is to set up era correct trains before the Fair.

FRIDAY’S MEETING:  REPLACEMENT OF A SWITCH MACHINE AND OTHER SMALL PROJECTS

Next Tuesdays work party will finish projects and start test runs of trains for the Fair.  The Work Party starts at 2:00 P M. See you then
