Here are the minutes from this month’s ACCRS business meeting.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Treasurer’s Report<o:p></o:p> Yearly Membership dues are now due. Please make payments to the treasurer (John Kolberg).<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Dues are $24 for regular members, $18 for senior members (65+).<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Dues are delinquent after the business meeting in February. Anyone who has not paid their full dues by then may be dropped as an ACCRS member. <o:p></o:p> A few bills were paid this past month, such as insurance, fees from the Fairgrounds, and scale expenses.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Bank accounts:<o:p></o:p> HO $37,962.68<o:p></o:p> O $11,146.17<o:p></o:p> General $1,229.69<o:p></o:p> Total $50,338.54<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> ACCRS Officer Elections<o:p></o:p> All current ACCRS officers have agreed to remain in their current roles. No other members have volunteered for consideration. Therefore, all current officers have been retained for the next year.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> President Gary Lewis<o:p></o:p> Vice President Phil Edholm<o:p></o:p> Treasurer John Kolberg<o:p></o:p> Secretary Dean Lewis<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> HO scale and O scale elections were held separately and will be reported by their groups.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> ACCRS Website<o:p></o:p> The current ACCRS website (accrs.org) is being managed by a member who is no longer regularly active and wishes to turn over that role. He will remain an ACCRS member, and may consult and assist with webmaster duties. The ACCRS Board is considering several options concerning the website, including who will be the main webmaster and how the site is hosted. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> As such, we are potentially in need of a new webmaster to manage and update the ACCRS website. A couple members have expressed interest in the new webmaster position. This role ideally requires WordPress skills. The role also requires a strong commitment to manage the website and keep it regularly updated.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Further details will be provided as we get more information.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Good Guys <o:p></o:p> We will be open for the public during the upcoming Good Guys show, which is next weekend 11/11 – 11-12.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Gary needs to submit all participating members to the Fairgrounds this next week, in order to obtain the entrance and parking passes for the event. Therefore, if you plan to participate in this event, you must notify your Trainmaster by the end of day this coming Monday, 11/06/23.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Gary will provide further instructions on pass distribution once he has more information.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Parking and entrance to the Fairgrounds for this event is often congested (morning and afternoon), so please plan appropriately and allow extra time for parking and entrance.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The Great Train Show<o:p></o:p> The upcoming Great Train Show (www.trainshow.com) will be next month, 12/09 – 12/10.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Phil is looking into producing a banner for our club which will be displayed in one of the Show’s main buildings.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The Board wants to remind all ACCRS members who sign up to work that show that your obligation is to work your full shift and not visit the show during your shift. You may visit the show before or after your shift.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Christmas Pot-luck<o:p></o:p> Next month, we will have our annual Christmas Pot-luck dinner. That will occur on Friday, 12/01/23.
