The way the parking pass is supposed to work is the following.
You drive in at Gates 8 or 12 and present your pass to the parking
ticket person. They will take the ticket and issue you a receipt
to place on your dash board after you park. There is no mention
of the employee lot, although you can park there if you like or if
you want, go for the parking area we used to use closer to the
tunnel gate (red). What I just described is how it worked for me
this evening. I ended up parked next to the road and quite close
to the tunnel gate. All the passes are numbered and were recorded
when they were given to me. We need to use them as intended so we
have as few left overs as possible. What left overs we have must
be returned to me to give back to the Fair.

The vendor badge may have worked that way the first day of the
fair, but may well change at any time. As many of you know, the
rules can change from day to day. The entry and parking passes
are more tightly controlled this year than last. The "official"
fair direction is that all of us must use daily parking passes,
badge or no badge. Theoretically, they should be collecting
them at the vehicle entry point. If they don't, we have no pass
receipt. Put the pass on your dash. Do not give the unused
pass to someone else. Keep them to the end of the fair and then
we can return them.

Also, the parking passes mention nothing about them being for
the employee's or vendor lot only. I showed the parking pass to
several of the parking folks yesterday and they said it was good
for parking in the regular lot which gets you up closer than the
employee lot if you come in for the morning shift. I was in the
second row.
