<p>That's what I suggested for next week in my e-mail. Next week is
not the business meeting but we need to do set up and clean up if
the Goodguys show is a go. They haven't said anything about the
business meeting week at this point.<br>

<p>I received a couple e-mails from Candice at the Fair
office today. The subjects were the Good Guys show and
Fair passes. <br>
</p>
<p><u>First the Good Guys show the weekend after next.</u>
She is pretty sure we will be able to open, but wants to
confirm that visitors will be able to exit the back door
and turn left. Also, to quote her, </p>
<blockquote type="cite"><span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";font-size:11pt">Concerns
have been expressed with having folks on grounds the
Friday before the event. Vendors are setting up and
there are a lot of items out on grounds. Many of the
participants do not want anyone on grounds after the
vendors have started set up. Can you reschedule or skip
your regularly scheduled Friday night meetings on the
Friday before GG shows to help alleviate these
concerns? </span></blockquote>
<span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";font-size:11pt"><font
size="+2"><span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";font-size:11pt">
</span></font></span>After telling her that is when we
do our final clean up and set up, I suggested we might be
able to do that on Thursday night. That should work for
most of us. If not, there's always Wednesday. She hasn't
answered the question of how we get into the show.
Hopefully that will come with her confirmation that we can
be open. In the meantime, we should get the sign up sheets
posted this Friday. <br>
<p><u>On the subject of badges vs passes for the Fair, I
quote her:</u> </p>
<blockquote type="cite"><span
style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";font-size:11pt">I
have been asked to obtain a schedule for the Train
Club. We need to know how many members will be working
and how many days each of those members will be
working. That info is needed to make the badge vs.
ticket decision.</span></blockquote>
She later added that it could be a combination of badges and
passes with those working 10 or more shifts getting the
badges. So, the scales need to get their sign up sheets
posted and membership needs to sign up as early as
possible. We really need everyone to do their part. The
fair left this to the last minute, which makes this
difficult. The Fair starts on Friday the 14th. It would be
good to pass out the badges/passes on the previous Friday,
the 7th. To do that, we will need our numbers by the
previous Friday, May 31. There has been a lot of effort
expended by folks to improve our "act" this year. Let's not
drop the ball at fair time. Thanks.<br>
