He called a week ago yesterday wanting to set up <br></div><div dir="ltr">a meeting to further discuss the proposal. At this point, it is <br></div><div dir="ltr">scheduled for Monday the 28th of this month. There will be an update <br></div><div dir="ltr">email that evening to all members.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">In the meantime, we have some work to do for the Great Train Show coming <br></div><div dir="ltr">up on March 23-24. We are cleared by the fair for this show and the <br></div><div dir="ltr">registration form has been submitted to the GTS. We are already <br></div><div dir="ltr">mentioned on their flyer about the show. Last fair the fire marshal <br></div><div dir="ltr">submitted a short report to the fair maintenance folks with some <br></div><div dir="ltr">corrective actions for us to do. We need to do away with an extension <br></div><div dir="ltr">cord running high over the front entry area inside the building. <br></div><div dir="ltr">Material to get it inside a conduit will be acquired this week along <br></div><div dir="ltr">with replacement "EXIT" signs for both doors. We also need to do clean <br></div><div dir="ltr">up of both entry areas, try cleaning the years of goo off the concrete <br></div><div dir="ltr">floor, and paint several areas, including the kids viewing platform on <br></div><div dir="ltr">the "O" scale side. Most of the pictures on the entry wall need to come <br></div><div dir="ltr">down and be replaced with some fresh material.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">All of us are bummed out about the Fair's plans, however, let's not go <br></div><div dir="ltr">without a fight. We need everyone to help when and where they can. <br></div><div dir="ltr">We'll have a better idea after the meeting with Jerome, how long we can <br></div><div dir="ltr">expect to be in the building. In the meantime, we need to make our part <br></div><div dir="ltr">of the "show" as good and memorable as possible to make it difficult for <br></div><div dir="ltr">the fair to kiss us goodbye. If anyone has additional ideas, please <br></div><div dir="ltr">speak up.
