Behind it are three or four cars leading up to the track, then there are two jack-knifed on the bridge and the last four going off the the north side of the bridge. The trailing locomotive in Amtrak paint is still on the track. All of the live camera footage at ground level was from the north of the scene facing south and from that angle does not allow for knowing direction. The overhead - particularly if you look at the CNN footage where you can see the northbound lane as well as the south makes it very clear.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1513640469002_3868"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1513640469002_3869">Interesting that there was enough momentum to jack-knife the two cars and then put more on the ground on the north side of the bridge.
