<div>Although I have not done it myself, you might consider making a metal casting copy of the cracked plastic part through the lost wax process.</div>

I have a 2-8-0 model which has a cracked belt drive gear. I just finished drawing one in Solidworks and wondering if anyone has ability and time to create one of these out of brass. Original one is plastic - replacements are not available unless you purchase
the whole motor, flywheel assembly.

</div>
<div>I'm going to try to 3D print one, but the resolution of the device might be good enough to capture the shape of the teeth.</div>

<div>Contact me at 925-989-8296 if you can help.</div>
