<p dir="ltr">I think I like the idea of a factory reproducible sign. I'm kind of worried if we put the SP roundel out front it will get vandalized.</p>

<div><div dir="ltr"><div>Hey Folks, at the last Friday's meeting the topic of the Southern Pacific railroad sign came up regarding a possible movement to a different location. </div><div><br></div><div>Here's my two cents on thinking about this.</div><div><br></div><div>* People like signs - especially old, historical, signs</div><div><br></div><div>* As a railroad club we should promote the railroad history of Alameda County</div><div><br></div><div>* Railroads that are/were in Alameda County are: Central Pacific, Union Pacific, Santa Fe, Western Pacific, Alameda Belt Line, Oakland Terminal, <span style="font-size:12pt">Key Line, that Berkeley hills line (forget the name). </span><span style="font-size:12pt"> Anyone has a list of all that ever existed? It has some corrosion already and if we move it, we could risk cracking the coating which will cause even more corrosion. </div><div><br></div><div>Since we'll need permission to add anything to the exterior, perhaps we should decide what we want, how many, what size. We could even take a picture of the building and photoshop railroad emblems to scale and show that to them. </div><div><br></div><div>Just some thoughts,</div><div><br></div><div>Tony</div> </div></div>
