The video of last week's Coast Division/PCR meetup featuring LocoFi is available here on YouTube. https://youtu.be/gQYROb8py-Y

Based on the discussions last week, we are skipping having a CD meetup tomorrow (June 27th) to allow us all to attend the NMRA-X event detailed below. The consensus was to have our next meetup on the 4th, and we will proceed with that unless I get a lot of push-back that people are planning to party too much on the 4th. I am currently arranging to have Jeff Palmer, new MMR 620 from the Lone Star Region (Texas) to come virtually and talk about scenery.

I have also arranged for the Coast Division to participate in a multi-divisional meet-up that starts at 10 AM PDT each Saturday. The next of these will be on July 11th. We will plan on ending our meetup on the 11th at 10 so members can join the multi-divisional meetup. I will review in detail these events in our meetup on the 4th. One advantage of a multi-divisional event is more clinics and opportunities for our clinicians to present to a larger group of modelers. I have attended a couple of these and they have featured some great layout tours and mini-clinics. The July 11th meetup will feature clinics by Jim Gore and Joe Fugate , this is the flyer for the meetup:

On Saturday, July 11th, we will be doing a Zoom Multi-Division meet. The divisions participating are 2nd Division LSR, European Region, Coast Division PCR, Oklahoma Heartland Division MCoR and Northern Utah Division RMR

The meeting is scheduled to be at 12 pm CENTRAL and the meeting should run for around 2 hours.

The session topic is Building your Layout with the agenda in four parts:

  1. Trackside Talks: Model railroading conversations. This is open conversation with very little structure. It is an opportunity as in a Show and Tell session to share work, ideas, resources, etc.
  2. Layout Tours: Live tours of home and club layouts. The program is open to anyone's layout, but we have to know that it is offered and ready so we can schedule it.
  3. Mini Clinic Jim Gore MMR

Learn how cardstock models are built and some of the trials and tribulations building new proposed kits without instructions.

  1. Mini Clinic Joe Fugate - Model Railroad Hobbyist

Joe reviews his first Siskiyou Line layout and lessons he learned from 25 years of building and operating the layout. Learn how it influenced the design and construction of layout #2 now taking its place.

NMRA- X

We will not be having a meetup tomorrow, June 27 as the NMRA.org Facebook group is sponsoring NMRA-X, with 12 hours of live streamed clinics from 6 AM to 6 PM. Note - Eastern time! https://www.facebook.com/events/698404127662305/?post_id=715792655923452&view=permalink<https://www.facebook.com/events/698404127662305/?post_id=715792655923452&view=permalink%0d>

Anyone can attend and tune in on Facebook. This is the line-up of clinics through the day tomorrow. Remember, these are all EDT, so subtract 3 hours for our time (or 6 hours for those of you lucky enough to be in Hawaii). Guess if you are a Hawaiian night owl the Australian layout tours might be a great soporofic. They are also being recorded to view later.
