Carl is the only one I ever met who was living in Oahu on Dec. 7, 1941 when
the Japanese attacked
Pearl Harbor.  He was 6 years old at the time and said he could see the
pilots in their Japanese Zeros
buzzing his house just outside Honolulu.  He lived history I'd say.
