All,
I'd like to remind everyone of the Christmas pot luck activity on
December 7. Bring your favorite food and share with everyone.
There is a rumor going around that the Fair has notified us that we must
vacate the facility by the end of 2020. *NOT!!* There is no truth to
this rumor. As mentioned in the business meetings, we have been working
on a proposal to the fair to clean up and improve what we have and
request a 4-5 year guarantee of our existence in the the current
building which will give us the opportunity to further improve our image
and value with the fair and enhance the fair experience. The goal being
to possibly secure another location on the grounds if and when our
building is removed. I've attached the proposal which was submitted to
the Jerome last Tuesday. He was off all week so won't review it until
next week. We hope to meet with him before Christmas to further
discuss. If Jerome accepts a significant part of the proposal, it will
take some effort on everyone's part to to make it happen. We can't just
set back and be resigned that it's all going away. The half a dozen
people who have been working in the strategy can't make it happen by
themselves. Let's see what kind of reaction we get from Jerome and
we'll go from there.
I am leaving tomorrow on a two week business trip. Since I get back on
December 7 and we are celebrating one of my sons birthday that evening,
I will miss the pot luck. Everyone have a great holiday season!
Gary
