Re: the Scavenger cards. I could print some too and have Garon drop them off. Maybe next year think something small train related for a prize. Maybe a vendor would give us coupons to give as prizes?

Gentlemen,
We had a good opening day. Thought I would share afew things.
The scavenger hunt cards were an excellent idea. Thatreally got the kids engaged and they loved it. That said we will needmore of those printed out and more pencils, as we go through thempretty quick. Lets consider putting some at the back door because somepeople got to the front and wished we had them at the back.
Some kids submitted them to me fully filled out andasked if there was a prize. I let them have at the donatedmagazines/tyco box, but ongoing maybe we can get some ribbons from thefair or something like the other exhibits give out.
I took Dick's advice to talk to everyone possiblewhile on the chair. It was good advice, we got some good engagement andcontacts. When I told some about our tenuous situation staying in thebuilding they said "oh no I will send a letter to the fair" so that'sgood PR we need.
Also, one person I talked to was from the countyhousing department and took offense to the use of the word "hobo" onthe scavenger hunt, as it reflects badly on our region's homeless.Perhaps we can just call it "campfire." Now, I'm sure many of you havedifferent opinions on the matter and that's fine, I'm just reportingwhat was said to me.
Electrically there were a few hiccups but they wererepaired. All should be good for coming weeks.
Thanks!
-Joel
