[Accrs] Bay Area Pet Fair September 15/16 - URGENT

The loss of both of the Good Guys shows around the fair and the move of GATS to March means we have no events for almost 8 months (July to March).  Not being open reinforces the perception of this as a club for with a limited membership and value. Since we did not have any membership meetings over the summer, the potential of us opening for the Bay Area Pet Fair in September has not been formally raised. I talked to the Pet Food Express CEO at the event last year (my wife had an exhibit right outside our door) and he indicated they would love to have us open for their event this year. The Bay Area Pet Fair was bigger than the fair days and is all families from all over the Bay Area (it is free and parking is free, PFE manages the costs). The Bay Area Pet Fair moved from Marin to Pleasanton last year, it would be an incentive for them to stay in Pleasanton if we were a hit with the pet crowd. The event is the 15th/16th of September.

Anyway, as we do not have time to wait for the September Membership Meeting, pleases reply to this email to "vote" on whether we should try with the fair and Pet Food Express to be open. We will need to move fast.
