I think I liked our situation better back in the days when fair maintenance supervisor
Ed Johnson was in charge.

All,

Early in the week I called Candice at the fair office to determine if the events on the grounds Friday and Saturday would impact our access on those days. Late yesterday as she was leaving her office, not to be back until Monday, she sent e-mails indicating we would have to park in the parking lots, not next to our building. There are multiple events on the grounds with the closest being in the building across the grass from our front door. I called the parking manager today and echoed what Candice said. He also has a new list of members provided by John Kolberg yesterday. The list will be used at Gate 12 to let us in. We must go into Gate 12 only. We will be allowed to park in the VIP lot. No one is exempt including the afternoon arrivals.

Unfortunately, they plan to use this approach going forward including on Friday nights if there is another event on the grounds. We will be scheduling another meeting with them specifically on this situation. I know it's nuts. It a solution looking for a problem to solve. An ocean of cars and people coexist at every car show. In the mean time, it is what it is, so all members are expected to cooperate and no confrontations. This weekend is important to us for clean up for the photo shoot so let's make it worthwhile.
