[Accrs] Amtrak Early E Unit Paint Schemes

Here’s an image of an early Amtrak E8A (or E9A) locomotive painted in a scheme which I never knew existed.  Has some resemblance to BN – the three white stripes on the nose and the engine number on the back panel.  I’m guessing this was one of the first schemes before the corporate marketing people got involved and established their identity designs.

I found this while searching for some Chicago information on the Rock Island.
