*Guys

I agree. We have had concerns by the Fire Dept not only about maintaining two entrances (the back door comes close to skating past the fire code) but also about the width of our interior aisles. I think that the viewing platform by the O Scale layout is as wide as would be permissible. Opening this weekend may look like a poke in the eye to the F. D. and we
don't need the grief.

We are the victims of a construction schedule that in the end will probably benefit the Club by opening the front side and eliminating the nuisance and blockage of the chicken pens.

So even though the Fair's decision is still a bit cheesy, I think we should do the GGs the courtesy of explaining the reason for our decision, and then by all means pray for another Monsoon. We can revisit in June the need or desire for a "make up" session.

I talked with the Fairgrounds and was told the fence surrounding the construction area by our building would not be moved until late April. There will be no access for visitors to our front door as it is behind the fence. This presents visibility issues for good guys attendees and is in my opinion a safety issue having only a single entrance to our building. I don't want people to have to enter and exit through the same door. Unless someone can provide a compelling reason to be open, I am going to make the decision that we do not open our doors for this event.
