The Spirit Of Summer Fair has opened!

This year, the sights and smells are new and refreshing. We've being discovered by a lot of regular fair goers that never knew we existed. Apparently, they were allergic to rabbits or birds so they avoided the small animals area.

The attendance yesterday for close to 2,500. Is this a record for an opening day? The donation pile was looking healthy.

A lot of questions came up about where the small animals are.

The rabbits are in building P.
The reptiles in building I .
Goats should be at the barnyard.
I don't know where the birds moved to.
(people get a fair map with their ticket)

We're still getting the same FAQ's as before too about how long has this been here, how do you setup/move this.

One person mentioned that they have been coming to the Model Train exhibit for 30 years and he doesn't see as many train running like it was long time ago. His brilliant suggestion was to buy lots of $40.00 locomotives off Amazon to run.

A mother mentioned that the sliding glass windows are a child hazard and suggested we keep them closed so tiny hands and fingers don't get hurt. Is it possible to lay some wood dowels in the tracks to keep them from sliding? Can we take a look at that or suggest another way to lock them?

Overall it appeared to be a very successful day.

Tony
