Another sign type that I think would be of interest to visits would be passenger train tail car signs - lighted.
Attached is an example of a Golden State car.   One of the original signs is on display inside the Original Whistle Stop train store in Pasadena.  Others might exist in personal collections.  I don't think the California Railroad Museum has one of these.   I would guess that they are valued over $1,000.00
What I would like to do is recreate these, but use LED lighting and perhaps have a removable battery pack that is easy to insert/remove and is concealed in the design.  Thereby, you can hang it without worrying about electrical outlets.  
I would want to create out of sheet metal, and painted glass or acrylic with back lighting.  And if we want to get really creative, we can include sensor devices or timers to automatically turn on/off.   Version 1.0 can be basic on/off switch.
Again,  the theme here can be passenger trains of California.
I have all the artwork needed for the Golden State cars,  I don't have Super Chief, Californian, Overland Limited, or others.  If you happen to have photos or digital images that can be used to create the artwork please let me know.
