[Accrs] Member Russ Dowling

I received a phone call last night from Dick Stark (O scale Trainmaster) to let me know that Russ Dowling's wife passed away.  She had been battling cancer for a long time and I am assuming that was the cause of death.  I don't have any details about when or if there will be a service.  Also, at this time I don't have an address for Russ as he recently moved to an assisted living facility.  When I get more details, I will pass them to you.

Russ has been a member of ACCRS since 2010.  He and his wife moved from Florida to live near their daughter and it was she who found ACCRS for her father.  It was Russ that occasionally brought a box of donuts on Friday evenings.  Lately, Russ was not driving and his daughter brought him to the club on Friday nights and picked him up at the end of the evening--a wonderfully caring lady.
