Subject: Flats for ACCRS Club O Scale Layout

I am a member of the ACCRS model railroad club in Pleasanton, California. We are updating the city scene on our O scale layout and are looking to use flats. The attached pdf shows the area we are working on both in layout and pictures.
Initial analysis indicates we can use 10-20 feet of flats for the area. The following is tied to the attached pdf:

Page 1 – Layout Diagrams

The upper diagram is the layout. The Brown area is the raised area of the city and the white is the open area for operators. Dimensions are for reference and are within ½”. The lower diagram shows where we are
thinking flats could/should go. One of our members is building an extended low height (2 story flat that will be positioned on the purple area. The red lines are where we are planning to put the flats or where they could go.

Page 2 – Pictures

These are pictures of the area we are trying to complete. The upper pictures are taken from the public aisleway so you can see where the flats go. The low buildings in the pictures go below the viaduct int eh front.
We are looking to put fronts on the edge of the opening behind the racks on the raised city portion (the tracks there are for trolleys). The lower pictures ae views in the opening area. The red lines show where flats will go.

Page 3 – install concept.

Our thinking is to mount the phot flats to 1/2” plywood and use PVC pipes as an upright support for easy removal for work and operations (if required).

Please look these over and suggest what you think are good options for the flats and if the concepts are good (suggestions welcome!).

Also, as we will be buying at least 10 flats and are a poor club, can you provide some special pricing for he purchase. It also could be good marketing, we entertain over 70K visitors per year (we are on the Alameda County Fairgrounds,
one of the larges county fairs in California and get lots of visitors during the fair and the Great American Train show events.

If you have time, please call e at 4088325618 to ask any questions or discuss. As we are preparing for the fair now, this is urgent and needs to be done in the next 4-5 weeks.
