I just got off the phone with the Fair to advise them that you would like to walk in at 5:00 tonight.  They agreed, however, the Red gate will be locked, so you will need to park in the ACE parking lot and come in the front gate across from the lot.  When you come in the gate, you will need to identify yourself as a train club member and that’s where you are going.

Last Friday we couldn’t access the grounds in cars due to the Pirates of Emerson event which it turns out is not actually on the “grounds” but is in the parking lot.  The event will be there again this Friday and actually through October.  As it is not on the “grounds”, it will not be a hindrance to us.  However, the Alameda Fall Home Show starts on this coming Friday and is in Building A.  They close at 5:00 in the afternoon.  I had a discussion with Harry earlier today and he agreed we can drive in on Friday, but not until 6:30.  If you have your heart set on being earlier, please let me know so I can let them know that we might have a few walk ins.  Otherwise, drive in thru the Yellow gate starting at 6:30.  Knowing the Fair, if you got there a little earlier, you might be able to get in, but I didn’t tell you that.  

 

Reminder:  Friday is the business.  The nominating committee should report on a potential slate of officers for the election which is on the November business meeting.
