[Accrs-o] Change in Fairgrounds access

All,

Today will be a "drive in day" so come in the front gate across from the ACE
lot and park by our building.  You will be asked for your name.  

 

Change in access to the grounds for days other than Friday:

 

John Kolberg and I met with Harry Daviess and Andrea Manucat at the Fair
office yesterday.  Some of you may remember Harry as he was our contact with
the Good-Guys for passes.  He now works for the Fair and he and Andrea, his
assistant, have been assigned to us for fair passes and coordination of
access to the grounds going forward.  This is a good thing since Harry likes
us. It's a good fit for us.  That being said, effective immediately, do not
contact Jenn any more at her phone (925) 426-7812.  Remove that number from
your saved numbers as she is no longer part of the grounds access process.
Instead, if you want to access the grounds on days other than Friday, send
an email to both Andrea and copy Harry at respectively
amanucat at alamedacountyfair.com <mailto:amanucat at alamedacountyfair.com>  and
hdaviess at alamedacountyfair.com <mailto:hdaviess at alamedacountyfair.com>  so
they can notify security that you want to come in.  Avoid last minute stuff,
so plan a little and give them some advanced warning.  Be aware there are
private events on the grounds from time to time which are not listed on
their web site, so there may be times when you will be denied entrance or
have to use the Stable area parking and walk in.  

 

In regards to access for the Fair event, it will be the same as last year
(QR coded entrance and parking).  As was done last year, there will be 20
Season Passes which will be issued to those 20 people signed up for the most
days.  Those passes are for both parking and entrance and can be used once
every day of the fair but only once per day.  Get your hand stamped if you
go out and want to come back in. In addition, as was done last year, there
will be parking and entrance QR coded passes for those working fewer days.
All types of passes will be distributed via email once sign ups are done.
So, on that note, the earlier the better, since I have to do the
distribution and it ain't fun.  Please get signed up with your respective
trainmaster ASAP.  Let me know if you have any questions.
