We will be discontinuing our use of the old “email reflector” (mail.accrs.org), due to continuing issues with Gmail and Hotmail email addresses. This transition will be effective after our May business meeting. After that, official email will come from Groups.io only.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> This means that if you have not yet signed up to Groups.io, you should do that immediately, or risk not receiving important ACCRS email. At this time, only 26 of our regular HO members are signed up for Groups.io.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> To determine if you are already signed up for Groups.io, look at the bottom of this email. Please see Jorg for the new combination.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Thanks for the cleanup<o:p></o:p> We made a lot of progress on cleaning up the underside of our layout, especially under the Port area. Thanks to all that helped. We have more to do on the City side.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Alameda County Fair 2025 signups<o:p></o:p> The sign-up sheets for this coming Alameda County Fair will be posted by our next meeting. The Fair dates this year are Friday, June 13 though Sunday, July 6 (3 full weeks + 4 weekends).<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> New Signals<o:p></o:p> Jere presented three prototypes of the new one-head Signal Towers. These new Signals will be used in various locations on the front of our layout, such as at the merge from the Passenger Station onto the Mainline. We authorized Jere to build up to 20 units, but only a few will be installed before Fair.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Trolley line<o:p></o:p> JR and Mason have done some very good refurbishment to our Trolley line. It was operational for our last show. They want to do some additional refurb and touch-up, as time allows. Also, Mason will touch up to some of the scenic items in the City area.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Scenic Maintenance<o:p></o:p> Jorg wants all members to allow 30-60 minutes per Friday to assist Mason with scenic maintenance and upgrades.
