Even though premium rates have gone up, adjusting some of the limits brought the cost to slightly under what we paid last year. It’s noted that our annual insurance payments represent a significant part of our yearly income.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> HVAC Update<o:p></o:p> In our General Meeting, Gary announced that while we still haven’t seen activity with our HVAC installation, the Fair has hired personnel that will work on our project. We should see progress soon.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Proposed Bylaw Change – Junior Member Minimum Age<o:p></o:p> In our General Meeting, the proposal to change the minimum age for Junior members, has been withdrawn.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Horse Racing on the Fairgrounds<o:p></o:p> The Fairgrounds will start having live Horse Racing, similar to the events that happen during the Fair. Racing begins Saturday 10/19, however the following week, races are every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Sunday December 15. Races begin at 1:45pm, with the last race just before sunset. The Fair is charging for parking.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> This will affect us and our access to the Fairgrounds and our building on Fridays (and weekends). Gary has contacted the Fairgrounds for further information and what our access procedure will be. Please stay tuned for further information.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Good Guys - November<o:p></o:p> Jorg has posted the signup sheet upstairs for the upcoming Good Guys show on Saturday, 11/09 and Sunday, 11/10. You may signup on that sheet or contact Jorg via email. There is also a copy of the signup sheet on Groups.io (<a href="https://accrs.groups.io/g/HOscale/files">https://accrs.groups.io/g/HOscale/files</a>). <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The second shift is scheduled to end at 4pm, however we may have to stay open longer on Saturday if we have a significant number of visitors. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Landscaping Training Class<o:p></o:p> Mason will host our next Training Class on Landscaping and will focus on cleaning up our City section.
