I can go into the helix and head down grade. When the engines come out
at the bottom, you can still see the caboose at the top of the helix.
Yes it is long, but it is fun and interesting to run.<br>

This is one of the first trains that Santa Fe used to develop radio
control of the helpers. They built those B-units to be the receivers
for the helpers. The B-unit got signals from the lead loco and sent
them to the helper locos. Today, we have DPU and all sorts of radion
controlled locos in trains. It all started way back when. Santa Fe
learned alot and was a pioneer in developing what we have today.<br>
<br>
By the way, those are RSD15's (DL600B) locos called "Alligators" on the
Santa Fe due to the long nose.<br>
