ACCRS HO Members,

Here are the minutes from this month's HO business meeting. Jorg was traveling and I conducted the meeting. Both the General and HO meetings were quite short this month.

HVAC Update
In our General Meeting, Gary said that installation activity for our HVAC has begun. We now see a few of the air handling vent units have been installed in several places inside our building. The Fairground's electrical team will continue the installation, however some delays in finishing our project are expected if other fairgrounds priorities come up.

Horse Racing on the Fairgrounds
In our General Meeting, Gary announced that this past Fall's live Horse Racing events on the Fairgrounds has concluded and is not likely to return (as it was not financially successful). Horse Racing will probably return for next Summer's regular Fair.

Train Show Operations
During the HO meeting, a few members commented that during the recent Great Train Show, there were several times when our ACCRS club bylaws and our HO Operating Rules were not followed. I'll let Jorg speak to this in our upcoming meeting.

Port Area Cleanup
We had a short discussion about fixing the issues in the Port area. One of the prime reasons that repairs have been difficult in this area is that the area under that layout in that area has become cluttered with various boxes, old unused equipment, old unused model train equipment, and general junk. This clutter is blocking access to the underside of the layout and preventing work on track wiring, turnouts and tortoises, and animated scenery (like streetlights and signals). All this needs to be cleared out and the Port area made accessible again so that repairs can be made.

We'll be forming a Port Area Cleanup team to address this.

Thanks to everyone who attended this month. See you next time.
