ACCRS HO Members,

Here are the minutes from this month's HO business meeting.

NMRA Meet
Thanks to all those who helped run for our NMRA open house. Although attendee attendance was low, we had a lot of help and had a good run. Thanks for helping us do our part.

Alameda County Fair 2024
Our next show will be the Alameda County Fair, occurring , next month from Friday June 14 through Sunday July 07. We need EVERYBODY to help.

Mondays and Tuesdays are closed. Jorg has sent out the first group of signup sheets. Ticket info will be coming as soon as we have more information from the Fair.

Skills Training Classes
Thanks to Mason for holding the Landscaping class and to all those who attended. Let us know if you'd like to help the landscaping team with projects.

We're planning on having a Training Class on Improving and Maintaining Rolling Stock in 2 weeks. Watch for email from Jorg.

We're also planning future classes on Airbrushing and DCC decoder installation later in the Fall.

Hidden yard
Just a reminder that we're trying to keep the Hidden Yard organized and clear for members' use.

  *   Track 1 - Cleaning Train
  *   Tracks 2, 3, 4, 5 - Club car storage
  * Tracks 6, 7, 8, 9 - Member setup tracks. Please keep these tracks clear when not staging a train for immediate use.

Any club cars that cannot fit comfortably in Hidden Yard, should be returned to the layout as "scenery" (for example: Oildale, Mesa, Port area, etc.). If there is no more room on the layout, club cars should be stored in the club drawers under the Hidden Yard.

The Passenger Yard has similar uses, with club Member setup on Tracks 1, 2, and 3. In general, Track 1 should be kept clear, except right before a show (so that it may be used for passthrough and cleaning.

Club Car Usage
Just a reminder that club owned rolling stock and locomotives are not to be stored in member's private drawers or lockers. Club equipment is for use by all members at all times and must never be locked in member storage. We've had some recent cases where club equipment was stored in member's storage. Please keep all club equipment out and available for everyone's use at all times.

Cleaning Train
There's been some confusion on the use of the new cleaning cars when the Cleaning Train is not in use. Going forward, the new cleaning cars are for use only on the Cleaning Train and may not be used by members for their individual trains.

Sorry if this is a change, but this keeps it fair for everyone. Each member is responsible for purchasing or obtaining their own cleaning car and using one during their runs.

Also, a reminder that all the new cleaning cars need to be kept with the Cleaning Train and stored on Track 1 in the Hidden Yard.

Repair and Improvement Work before Fair
Please be aware that there will be ongoing repair and project work on the layout between now and the Fair. The work times are not scheduled or announced, so apologies in advance if you come in to test / play and find that some or all of the layout is not available due to Fair preparation work. We must be ready for the Fair, so this work takes priority. If possible, we'll try to let the members know if the layout will be down for an extended time.

Groups.IO files
The Groups.IO web site has a section called "Files". https://accrs.groups.io/g/HOscale/files I've placed several useful documents there such as our club Bylaws, HO Operating Rules, and this year's ACCRS Member Roster. This area will become a general storage place for many documents of this sort.

Please contact me if you do not have access to Groups.IO.

Wrap-up
Thanks to all and please let Jorg or me know if you have any other questions, ideas, or suggestions.

-Wayne
