[Accrs-ho] Bypass through Freight Yard

Folks,

The “gremlins” were really out this morning and we developed a new problem (or maybe it was just an extension of an older issue).

There is a series of crossovers and turnouts on the exit side of the Frieght Yard, on the Freight mainline. A few of us were derailing around this area. Investigation showed a further deterioration of the transition rails, especially when passing over the 30° crossing.

Unfortunately, the long term fix is to replace this complex entirely. We already have this planned for after Fair.

We decided to bypass this complex by routing through the Freight Yard.  The entrance and exit switches on the Dispatch Panel are shown below.

This will take you around the offending set of turnouts / crossovers.

This does not affect the Passenger mainline at all.

This condition may change from day to day. Test and see if you need to use this bypass.
