ACCRS HO Members,

Here are the minutes from this month's HO business meeting.

Good Guys
Thanks to all those who helped run at our last show. Although we had rain, it brought folks inside and we had good attendance and donations.

Note that the Memorial Weekend Good Guys show has been cancelled for this year.

Alameda County Fair 2024
Our next show will be the Alameda County Fair, in just 2 months, occurring from Friday 06/14 through Sunday 07/07. It will be here before you know it.

Now is the time to get your equipment prepared and tested. Remember that our minimum standards are metal wheels, Kadee couplers, and all equipment tested well ahead of the Fair. It's also a good idea to check your coupler height and wheel gauge on all your equipment. Please reach out to any of us if you need help.

Social Media Update
Jamie reported that our Facebook site now has 1600 followers! Our Instagram site has 250 followers. Jamie is updating pictures on both sites.

Skills Training Classes
Our next Skills Training Class is scheduled for Friday, April 19. Mason will be showing us some Landscaping techniques.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Graffiti class, due to the loss of one of our members. We have a lot of suggestions for classes, but we need presenters. Volunteers?

Cleaning Train
The pads on the cleaning cars should be cleaned before their use (at least once each day). Clean the pads with alcohol and a blue towel. It only takes a minute per car.

Also, a reminder that all the new cleaning cars need to be kept with the Cleaning Train and stored on Track 1 in the Hidden Yard.

Keep it Clean
We want to remind everyone to help keep our building cleaned up and organized as much as possible. This includes our working areas behind the scenes (upstairs, Hidden Yard, under the layout, etc.). When you retrieve tools and materials to work on projects, please return them to their proper storage locations. Don't just leave them on the tables or at the cab operating stations. We've recently found too many examples of folks not cleaning up after themselves. Let's all 'Keep it Clean'.

Electrical Team
Jere gave us a review of the turnout replacement on the right side of the Summit tunnel. We also discussed the layout performance during the Good Guys show.

A couple maintenance issues were discussed, including a couple problems in the Port area. As always, let us know if you encounter any layout problems.

Wrap-up
Thanks to all and please let Jorg or me know if you have any other questions, ideas, or suggestions.
