FYI –  I ran a train Sunday morning and used the Club NCE Cab #07.   This cab has some issues, something is broken on the inside, so after I was done using it I put it in the Bad Order box upstairs. It’s function is unreliable.



I suspect it has hit the concrete floor several times too many.



A couple of recommendations:

  1.  Let’s get some of the 3D printed controller holders that Phil created/printed for the O scale side.  Just need to get the STL file and send this out to a printer can get about 12 of these printed – put 4 at the control board,  2 in hidden,  a couple in port,  a couple at passenger station and a couple elsewhere as needed.
  2.  What is the status of NCE DCC COMPANY – is this company going to be around in 5 years?  The concern I see if not many products are in-stock.   It’s only a 2-3 person operation.   How did the pandemic effect them?  Are they planning to re-stock products or planning to retire?
  3.  Purchase a couple new NCE 5240010 ProCab Throttles – They are around $155.00 or more if you can find them.
  4.  Probably should take all the DCC boxes out and give them a air bath to remove dust/dirt and ensure the vents are not clogged up.
  5.  Check to see if any need updated EPROM chips.
