Another note on DCC.

I used a NCE controller out of the club cabinet – noticed this has the number 32 engraved on the back side.  I don’t think this is a Club controller unless it was donated.  Attempting to use this on Sunday resulted in what appears to be another Cab Controller 32 in use at that time.

Anyone know who this belongs too or is assigned 32?

Got a response from NCE technical support – garbage characters on the hand-held controller displays can be a couple of reasons 1.) if you are using wi-fi controller the batteries could be low;  2.) wired controllers may have bad cables or cable connections.

I notice two things – there are still some DC specific/only jacks of the same RJ-11 connection type that are next to DCC connectors – the DCC label(s)  have worn away and knowing which is which is helpful.

Perhaps it’s time to start removing some of the never used DC features such as outlets that are never used and create confusion?
