Last night last Joel and I encounter 3 NCE ProCab controllers with addresses different from their original labeled number.

The problem started when we noticed that the two of the controller displays had unusual character displays and were matching consist info. We found that we have two Id 7’s assigned.   Checking others we found others that were incorrect from their assigned numbers.  How they got that way I don’t know.

We did not check all controllers – so if you are using one,  check to see that it is correctly assigned is controller number.

NOTES:

How to identify what the Id number is?

  *   Plug in the controller and it will automatically report the Id number in the lower right.


How to program the Id number?

  *   Disconnect the cord,  then hold down the ‘Select Loco’ button and then plug the controller back in.  It will then allow you to enter a number.  All controllers have an external label Id printed.  (if one is missing please let the TM know)
