My wife's situation has progressed from a broken ankle, togetting a sore on the foot, which got infected.  Was to have a bloodclot in the upper thigh area removed to get blood flow to the sore. The day of the procedure, she developed heart problems, which resultedin her having three stints put in the heart.  That problem has beencleared up, but with no blood flow to the wound, her leg below the kneewill have to be removed.  Surgery is tomorrow.  She will be fitted witha cast, which won't be removed for seven days, when they will checkit.  It's possible that she could be in a second cast, for an otherseven days.  She will be undergoing therapy in the hospital, but thedischarge date will be sometime after the fair, so I won't be able tokeep my commitment to the fair.  She will have a prosthesis, so shouldbe able to live a normal life.
      

      
      
The month of Juan 2017 won't be remembered fondly in ourhousehold.  It would much rather be running trains at the fair, insteadof spending most of this month in hospitals.
