HI Gary, I’m planning to attend on Sunday for the GoodGuys.
BTW – regarding the Talking Hot Box Detector, Jere suggested that before we add more “stuff” to the layout we should address the power supply issues for the existing features. That’s a very good idea. So what I’m thinking of that we should design a structured power supply for commonly used voltages, such as 12v, 6v, 5v, and 3v. It would be helpful to know what features are using what voltage and document that.
Design wise, I’m thinking we can clear out the clutter in the downstairs area were soda is stored, setup the power supplies there (rack and stack) and then establish distribution blocks (terminal connections) to the features. Then it will be easy to both, install new features, and replace power supplies when they go bad. More work to do on circuit loads and capacity and the options for turn on/off.
That’s what I’m thinking at this point.
Tony
