[ACCRS HO Scale]

In considering all these options, please remember that our building is not very weather tolerant. We see dramatic changes in temperature and even humidity from season to season (especially when running the swamp coolers, and in the summer / winter temperature extremes). Any kind of wrap or vinyl might not fair so well over time. Paint is more likely to stand the test of time, as evidenced by how well the existing mural has held up.

Just did a price lookup from some sample companies. Its $4-10 a square foot for vinyl wrap. We have about 40 ft by 12 ft to cover. So it'd be somewhere plus or minus $2,000-4,800. This big it would have to come in pieces and be assembled. Also, still have draw something up on the computer that's high resolution.
It's an option, but would probably be more cost and time efficient just to paint it.

Would a wrap look like a painting. It would look funny to have to different mediums like that. Unless the wrap look painted as well

I also suggested this a while back.  Not sure what the pricing would look like, but we have a family member who just did that recently.  It was cheaper than having the mural painted.  Sounds like what Joel is proposing would be simpler and perhaps cheaper.  If you do the vinyl like a wrap, someone would need to produce the artwork which would then be printed on the vinyl.

Yes, I was thinking vinyl would be a good option for the city skyline. However the starry sky background the vinyl cutouts would go over should best match what's going on in the port for consistency. That appears to have been made with an airbrush which is why I'm proposing having an artist copy the design.

I talked to the artists, looks like they're all busy through through the summer save for my friend Renee.
Renee is quoting 2500 for a full mural, and 800 if we just want to "copy" the starry cloudy sky design onto the wall.

I think we should have her do the sky and then we can work out what kind of skyline cutouts to get or make later, say after the fair.
