I don't think that we will ever have a good location for these type of
events. It was fun to run the trains regardless of the $$$ taken in
and the low count on visitors. <br>
<br>
It would have helped if the gate at our end was open and people came in
that way. Worked for us getting in, but no traffic for visitors coming
in or out. <br>
<br>
Well we have a Good Guys coming up and sometime next year we should
have the Train Show, Even with the train show, we are not placed well
to get lots and lots of traffic.<br>

<div>My views on the success of this open house are mixed. As a
money-raiser, it was a bust. We took in less than $100 over two days
and the $ per head was less than the County Fair. The recent Good Guys
show had twice as many visitors and four times as much donations
However, the club members seemed to be having a good time. At one
point I counted six trains running on the HO side on Saturday. The
weather was comfortable.</div>

<div>Clearly, our location relative to the event activities was as
bad as it could be. The area occupied by the event was shaped like a
mirror image of Florida and we were at the end of the panhandle. </div>
