the loop?  We are so proud of him and the club has been such an 
important part of him growing up.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello All,
My name is Varina Michaelis and we are members of the train club.  I am 
proud to inform you that my son, Garon Michaelis, who has been a member 
of Troop 900, in Livermore, CA for the past three and a half years, 
achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouting’s highest rank, on March 15, 
2017.
For any scout this is a huge accomplishment.  For Garon it is truly a 
miracle.  In December 2015 Garon had brain surgery for Chiari 
Malformation.  He was in ICU for 10 days and about a month recovering 
physically. Emotional healing took longer.  He missed out on his last 
weeks of his sophomore year due to stress and anxiety. With family help 
and counseling he excelled once again.
Garon’s Eagle Project was to help organize his schools Emergency storage 
facility at Livermore High School in Livermore, CA.  He did this 
personally arranging for funds, by building new storage shelving and 
purchasing new supplies for the entire container.  He had quite a few 
Scouts from his troop (along with past scouts from Troop 900) show up to 
help with the project.
In the near future we will be conducting his Eagle Court of Honor. Would 
you please be so kind as to send this worthy Eagle Scout a letter of 
congratulations to be presented to him during his Court of Honor? We 
will see that it is presented to Garon as a permanent reminder of the 
importance of his achievement. I am sure that Garon will be proud to 
receive an acknowledgement from you. In order that we might compile all 
of his recognition letters/certificates/items into a special 
presentation album, we would appreciate it if you would send your

Garon’s steady, persistent progress through the ranks to achieve this 
prestigious award demonstrates his determination to prepare himself for 
a meaningful, productive role in society. Garon does plan to continue 
being a Mentor for years to come to Troop 900.  His exemplary 
performance in Scouting will serve as a beacon to those Scouts who 
follow him.
